Garrett Mason is a Maine native with roots that go back generations. Born in Lewiston, Maine he was raised in Lisbon Falls where both sides of his family have lived for over 200 years. He is a 2006 graduate of Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Marketing.
After college, Mason worked in Maine’s vibrant sports administration field serving in various roles for the Portland Sea Dogs (AA affiliate of the Boston Red Sox) and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s Lewiston MAINEiacs. It was serving in these rolls that prompted his calling for public service.
In 2010, Mason entered the race for State Senate. He defeated an 18-year incumbent by 11% of the vote and served for eight years representing Androscoggin and Kennebec Counties in the Senate. He was elected by his peers to serve as Majority Leader at 29 years old – the youngest in state history.
During his time in the Maine State Legislature, Mason has served various committee assignments including Criminal Justice and Public Safety; Education and Cultural Affairs; Government Oversight; Energy, Utilities, and Technology; and Veterans and Legal Affairs. In 2018, Mason ran for the Republican nomination for Governor. He placed second in the first-ever statewide ranked choice election in America.
He was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2018 by his alma mater, Pensacola Christian College, for his contributions to conservative politics.
Garrett lives in Lisbon Falls on his family’s homestead with his wife Rebekah and their daughter Piper.

Keith Herrick has spent over a decade working in government affairs and public relations in Maine and throughout New England. He began his career in public service working as an intern for US Senator Susan Collins. From there, he moved on to the Maine State House where he worked as a legislative aide to the Senate Majority Leader.
After moving on from public service, Keith went to work in the public sector where he began his career as a government affairs specialist . He serviced one of the largest lobbying portfolios in the State while being one of the youngest to do so. Concurrently, he developed a reputation as one of Maine’s premier political consultants. He worked as caucus campaign director for both the Maine Senate and House Republican campaigns and served as campaign manager for the Mason for Governor, Courtney for Congress, and Crafts for Congress campaigns.
In 2018, Keith joined Dirigo Public Affairs where he utilizes his experience merging policy and politics through proactive lobbying strategies, grassroots and grasstops advocacy, coalition building, and relationship mapping. He continues to serve as a political advisor for many legislative, congressional, and policy referendum campaigns at local, state and national levels. He also has extensive experience running political action committees on a state and national level.
In his private life, Keith serves as the 101stAir Refueling Wing’s Human Resource Advisor in the Maine Air National Guard, advising on career development and professional growth for all Airmen. In addition, he volunteers in his community as a coach and board member for various youth sports.
Keith grew up in Windham, Maine and lives in West Gardiner with his wife, Leslie, and two sons, Maddox and Emmett.
